ACDPS.net Launched in Time for Hurricane Irene
Insercorp completed deployment of the new Department of Public Safety website for Accomack County, VA (on Virginia's Eastern Shore) and launched ACDPS.net on Friday, August 26, just before Hurricane Irene struck Hampton Roads and the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The website was useful in providing evacuation and recovery information as well as hourly updates during the storm.
The new ACDPS.net developed by Insercorp remained online throughout the storm which was critical for communicating information over the Internet due to the locally-hosted Accomack County Government website going offline from power or Internet outages.
