MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th 2013, Franklin, Virginia -- Insercorp works hard to not only develop but also maintain our client relationships. The small website development company’s goal is to form lasting local, regional, statewide, and even nationwide partnerships to help its clients in communicating information to their target audience. Insercorp specializes in website development and prides itself on the fact that many of its successful client relationships have been maintained throughout the six years it has been in business. Insercorp’s level of expertise and quality of services are not limited to any specific enterprise or industry. Insercorp provides services to both the public and private sectors including small business, government, education, healthcare, and non-profit organizations.
The launching of the websites for Isle of Wight County Schools (IWCS) is a great milestone in the history of Insercorp because of the opportunity to provide services to and form a partnership with a public school division. The partnership includes a five year agreement including a sponsorship by Insercorp, web hosting, product support, and training for the ten websites Insercorp developed for IWCS.. The school division website, launched earlier in 2013, along with the nine school websites, utilize Insercorp’s proprietary iPlasmaCMS2 Content Management System. iPlasmaCMS2 is a web-based software program in which the website administrators are able to manage and publish content on their websites. The system allows Insercorp’s clients the access and the freedom to make changes to their own websites in an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
The concept behind iPlasmaCMS2 is to make editing a website less complicated for the end user. The Insercorp Development Team has to look at managing websites through the eyes of individuals whom may have little to no web development experience at all. The IWCS’ previous websites were built on Joomla!, an open source Content Management System. Although Joomla! allows its end users to make changes, its interface was designed for users with a higher level of technical expertise and not essentially user-friendly for a user with non-technical skills. Additionally the vulnerabilities of an open source platform posed security risks to Isle of Wight County Schools.
School districts and the schools within them have a plethora of pertinent information for students, parents, teachers, prospective employees, and the community. In addition to the redesign of the IWCS Division website, the Insercorp Development Team also developed websites for the nine individual schools in the Isle of Wight County School District. Each school’s website includes a custom design to reflect the schools’ colors and mascots.
“I'm loving the professional look and layout of the new website. It presents CAES in the colorful and vibrant manner that represents the school community”, says Kevin Goetz, Principal of Carrollton Elementary School.
Throughout the summer, before deployment of the nine school websites, Insercorp provided training sessions for each of the schools’ website administrators. The training included demonstrations and hands-on training on how to make changes to the websites, including how to add and edit text and images, embed videos, and create hyperlinks.
“The management team have been very helpful and timely to my help requests. I have had very positive comments from most of our teachers about the ease of use. Parents are using the weblink to send questions and comments, too. This feature has helped me to know how to help our parents find information and to me as I add the information that they need”, exclaims Jill Peerey, Media Specialist at Smithfield High School.
Being that all nine school websites can be accessed from the IWCS Division website and vice versa, the Insercorp Team made it easily navigable and much more efficient.
Insercorp appreciates any and all feedback we receive from our clients because it lets us know that we are aiding them in getting their information to the intended audience. We love to hear customer testimonials about our products and services so we can continue to grow as a company. Kenita Bowers, Coordinator of Community Affairs and Media Relations for Isle of Wight County Schools says:
“Insercorp has been great to work with in developing our division website as well as our school websites. Tim Bradshaw and his team have been highly responsive and quick to assist us with making sure that we have a great product for our parents, staff, and community to use to remain connected to our school division.”
The Insercorp Team worked closely with Isle of Wight County Schools to develop more efficient websites for students, parents, teachers and the community. Working on this project, as aforementioned, was definitely a milestone for Insercorp. Although they share a school district, the individual schools of Isle of Wight County have different schedules, needs, and information to communicate to their target audiences. Teachers and parents alike can rest easy knowing the websites were developed on a much more secure platform. President & CEO of Insercorp, Tim Bradshaw, was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with the faculty and staff of Isle of Wight County Schools, his former employer before going into business in 2007.
