Peninsula READS provides English as a second language and reading tutuoring. Their adult literacy program consists of services necessary to meet the literacy needs of adults on the Peninsula. Services include Basic Literacy tutoring, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tutoring, computer instruction, volunteer tutor training, follow-up and support, and the development of additional specialized activities through collaborative efforts with other community organizations and businesses.
Insercorp has designed and developed a website for Peninsula READS on its iPlasmaCMS2 content management system.
The organization is an affiliate of United Way of the Virginia Peninsula. It needed an updated website to allow clients to gather information about their available programs. The new site also offers a news module, a photo gallery, an events calendar and a slideshow.
