HRTPO is responsible for planning and programming for the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA).
Insercorp designed and developed a new website for the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) using its proprietary iPlasmaCMS2 content management system (CMS), built on the Zend Framework.
HRTPO's website was in need of improved navigation and organizational hierarchy to reflect the growing nature of the metropolitan planning organization. After creating a custom design and integrating with iPlasmaCMS2 Insercorp migrated content from the original website and an external blog used for news articles.
Insercorp also worked with the HRTPO team to design and develop a new logo to reflect the HRTPO's "Heartbeat of Hampton Roads" slogan.
The website includes several modules and plugins for iPlasmaCMS2, providing dynamic content with an easy-to-manage administrative interface with the ultimate goal of providing information to the public in a more efficient and user friendly format.
